Hallo,

folgendes Problem:
Ich habe vor kurzem mein opensuse von 11.2 auf 11.3 upgraden wollen und zwar nach folgender Anleitung: Upgrade
Lief soweit auch erst alles ganz gut, aber nach dem Durchführen von "zypper dup" konnte ich zwar noch Befehle in meiner noch geöffneten Konsole eintippen und ausführen, jedoch konnte ich meine anderen noch geöffneten Programme nicht mehr erreichen (beim Anklicken in der Taskleiste passierte einfach nichts, auch das Hauptmenü öffnete sich nicht mehr). Also über die Konsole neu gestartet. Da ergab sich bereits das erste Problem, dass er suse nun von der falschen Festplatte starten wollte (hd0,0 statt hd1,0), was ich dann entsprechend in den Bootoptionen (ich nutze GRUB) änderte. Anschließend fuhr er auch weiter hoch, d.h. der grüne Bildschirm mit weißem Fortschrittsbalken erschien, nach ca 2 sek jedoch ging der Bildschirm plötzlich in den stand by Modus. Man merkte zwar noch, wie der Rechner weiter lief und arbeitete, jedoch sah man nichts mehr. Auch STRG + ALT + Fn brachte nichts. Also Neustart erzwungen und den Failsafe Modus probiert, jedoch mit selbem Resultat. Anschließend noch versucht mit "init 3" in den Bootoptionen den grafischen Modus zu umgehen, aber passierte komischerweise genau dasselbe wie oben beschrieben.

Ist suse hier also noch zu retten oder ist doch eine Neuinstallation erforderlich?

Als Zusatzinfo: Meine Grafikkarte ist eine Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT; Prozessor ein Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200; Monitor iiyama ProLite E2472HD; nebenbei läuft noch Windows 7 ohne Probleme, auch Suse 11.2 lief vorher komplett ohne Probeme und ohne dass ich noch zusätzliche Treiber installieren musste.

Nach meinen Erfahrungen müsste Suse noch zu retten sein. Für das Update würde ich Dir Empehlen das Net-iso ca. 156 MB herunterzuladen und die Installation starten. Der Installer erkennt Dein Suse und bietet Dir das Update an. Im gleichen zug kannst Du auch die Repositories z.b. Packmann, Nvidia, usw. direkt einbinden. (Anmerkung: bei Bootoptionen brauchst Du nur die 3 einzugeben ohne init)
Für künftige Installationen von Suse Empfehle ich Dir immer eine Net-Install ISO zu benutzen, da die DVD bereits nach der Installation Veraltet ist und als Paketliferant nicht mehr Aktuell ist.

Hallo,

habe nun rausgefunden, dass es wohl am ACPI liegen muss. Wenn ich als Bootoption acpi=off setze, funktioniert alles normal, ansonsten kommt oben genanntes Problem. Habe zwischenzeitlich auch auf 11.4 aktualisiert, aber mit selbem Resultat. Im Prinzip läuft es ja so auch, aber ohne das Problem wäre es natürlich besser.
Vielleicht hat da ja jemand eine Idee? Kenne mich da nicht so gut aus und habe bisher auch über google noch nichts nennenswertes finden können.
